Especially, in many summer-autumn paddy areas that are about to be harvested, the rice price increases almost daily. Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, from Luong Tam commune, Long My district, said: “This year, rice prices fluctuated very unexpectedly. Around 10 days ago, I took a deposit from traders for 7,600 VND/kg of OM 18 rice for 4ha of my family’s rice, now the price has reached over 8,000 VND/kg. According to Hau Giang agriculture, the summer-autumn rice crop in 2023, farmers in the province seeded 75,207ha, reaching 100.95% of the plan, the harvest yield will reach about 6.3 tons / ha.
