On Jan 31st,2023, branch of Mekong Food Corporation in An Giang hold a grand opening for glutinous factory at Hung My hamlet, Phu Hung commune, Phu Tan district, An Giang province. Phu Tan Glutinous Factory was completed and put into operation with the goal of meeting fully, timely and maximize output to serve the domestic consumption and export activities.

Attending the opening event were Mr. Tran Cong Huan – Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Mekong Food Corporation concurrently Director of An Giang branch, Mrs. Pham Thuy Thuy Nga – Deputy General Director of Mekong Food Corporation concurrently Deputy Director of An Giang branch, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hau – Deputy Director of Mekong Food Corporation in An Giang and representatives of suppliers, together with the employees of the factory.

Implemented since the end of 2022, the glutinous factory project in Phu Tan has a total area of nearly 4,000 square meters, specializing in purchasing, preliminary processing and trading of glutinous products with a capacity of producing finished glutinous products up to 300 tons daily to supply the market.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Cong Huan – Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Mekong Food Corporation concurrently Director of An Giang branch shared: The construction of the factory with a modern machinery system specialized in glutinous production will contribute to increasing the output of finished glutinous products of the Company, thereby increasing the ability to supply high quality glutinous products to export and domestic trading.

The establishment of the glutinous factory is the first step of the Company in implementing an integration strategy to control supply, reduce dependence on suppliers and other processing costs.
